Join us for an unforgettable day at The Kelly, where you’ll experience a live painting demonstration, enjoy a lunch and fellowship with fellow artists, and have the opportunity for One-on-One instruction from Dirk himself!  This is a unique chance to learn from one of Alabama’s most sought after artist and immerse yourself in the world of fine art. Don’t miss out on this exciting day of inspiration and creativity!

The first half of the class with be a painting demonstration where Dirk talks about his process and techniques, then we will break for lunch. After lunch, grab your paintbrushes and canvases, because it’s your turn, and Dirk will be offering guided instruction.

Please feel free to bring your own supplies, but we have basic supplies available:

• Limited color oil paints of various yellows, blues, reds, and titanium white.
• 8×10 – 11×14 sized canvas panels
• Palette paper
• Assorted paint brushes
• Gamsol oderless mineral spirits
• Plastic palette knives
• Paper towels
• Charcoal sticks, charcoal pencils, and graphite pencils
• Tabletop easels
• A couple of basic standing easels
