Join us this summer for art-filled summertime activities!
Thanks to a sponsorship from Alabama Arts Alliance, the Kelly is able to hold a month full of art activities, Kelly’s Kids Artistic Adventures, for the children of the River Region area. We are excited to kick off Kelly’s Kids Artistic Adventure this upcoming July. There will be a multitude of classes held such as Art “Fun”damentals, nature exploration, Lego construction, and digital art creation.
Kelly’s Kids Artistic Adventure will be broken up into four weeks, each week focusing on a different age group. The first week is free while the remainder cost $25 for an entire week of classes. Parents and guardians, you may either stay with your children or drop them off—whichever is more convenient for you.
Ages 6 – 15
Week One of Artistic Adventures is free and open to kids of any age, ranging from six to fifteen. This week, we will focus on nature with demonstrations and art activities!
Legacy Environmental
Learn about how keystone species affect their environment!
Coosa River Keepers
Play a Coosa River themed jeopardy game and use your senses with the texture touch box demonstration!
Alabama Wildlife Federation
Learn about the importance of pollinators in our environment!
Ages 6 – 8
Week Two of Artistic Adventures is designed to entertain and educate children between the ages of 6 – 8.
Art FUNdementals
Kids will explore different art basics and mediums of art, and then put them all together in a project of their own making!
Digital Art Creation
Kids will learn the fundamentals of Procreate with the help of an instructor. After learning how to use Procreate, they will do a fun activity using the tools they learned!
Art FUNdementals
Kids will continue building on those FUNdementals and finish their project!
Lego Construction
Kids will build Lego sets, both individually and as a group, learning the merits of both individual and collaborative creative projects!
Ages 9 – 11
