Join Craig Reynolds at The Kelly for an intensive three-day plein air workshop! This workshop is great for those wanting to further practice or expand their knowledge on plein air oil painting techniques. On day one of the workshop, students will go on a plein air field trip to collect information for their paintings. Day two and three of the workshop will be studio days for students to create a larger painting based off of the information they gathered on the field trip. Supplies will be provided by the instructor. The Kelly is able to provide standing easels, however, students are encouraged to bring their own plein air easels for the field trip portion of the workshop. We hope you’ll join us for this informational workshop!

• Cost: $275 for Kelly members OR $300 for Non-members
• Recommended Skill Level: Intermediate and Up
• Class Size: Maximum of 12 and Minimum of 6
• Basic Supplies included (Limited Color Palette) – Instructor’s Palette is below, in case you wish to bring your own oils and supplies.
  • Please bring your own easel (we have a couple of basic standing easels, but not enough for everyone)

• Cadmium Yellow Medium
• Yellow Ochre
• Cadmium Red Light
• Alizarin Crimson or Quinacradone Rose
• Ultra Marine Blue
• Cerulean Blue
• Alkyd (quick dry) Titanium White by Mgraham, Gamblin or Winsor Newton
• Ivory Black
• Raw Umber
• Transparent Red or Orange Oxide

Instructor Brushes:

• #2 round bristle,
• #2 long flat,
• #4 long flat,
• #8 long flat (all bristle or synthetic oil),
• #2 script liner,
• a flexible palette knife, and
• an old credit card or motel card.
