On the Road to Selma

Go on the road again with Cookie Knott, this time a road trip to Selma, Alabama, on February 24. Plans are to visit Charlies Lucas’ (The Tin Man) studio, have lunch, and see some other art. Selma is about 2 hours from Wetumpka, so this will be a full day. However, the drive is well worth it. You’ll cross over the famous Edmund Pettus bridge of the civil rights era march. The town is full of elegant churches with competing towers and a haunted (? they say) cemetery dating back to before the Civil War. For more details about carpooling and times, talk to Cookie or Curator Jennifer Eifert.
