After months of blood, sweat and tears, President Belyn Richardson and her able team of Board members have fought to a successful victory. The old building aka “where the driver’s license office USED to be” is now…..TA DA….drum rolllllll! The Kelly Fitzpatrick Center for the Arts. Thanks to the munificent bounty of grants and the magnificent beneficence of all our dearly beloved donors, it’s not only ready to open, but mostly paid off.
Dozens of artists have contributed to the opening exhibit of “Rivers and Bridges,” and there’s “water, water everywhere, but not…to drink,” only to drink in. The range of realistic, abstract, photographic, pieced and miscellaneous art is a truly amazing. From just below the cliff side of the gallery to the Golden Gate and even Hawaii, there are splendid images: creeks, pools, bridges, waves and even deep-sea diving.
You HAVE to get here and get here quickly!! Not to be missed, this GRAND OPENING is really stupendous. THURSDAY, Aug. 29, 5:30 to 8:00. Director Jennifer Eifert and her able assistant Registrar Alyssa Spaulding have been moving and shaking, hanging and banging, all month.
You want a peek? Of course you do. So here are some special photos to give you an amuse-bouche (little appetizer).
