Scott Perkins is a river region artist specializing in landscape and seascape paintings.  Scott began drawing and painting at a young age and placed in several art shows as a teenager including first place the southeast scholastic art award.  However, when he joined the Marine Corps reserves and began college, he could never find the time to continue his artwork and eventually lost interest.  Many years later he discovered his daughter had artistic talent when he saw some of her sketches.  In hopes of encouraging her, he picked up paint and brush again but quickly realized he had to relearn everything.  His daughter never did get the artist’s “bug,” but Scott continued to learn and hone his skills.  His journey continues under Great Scott!
