Art Started but Kids Town Lacks Residents

Director Jennifer Eifert was thrilled with the crowd of Art Starters last month. She loves the little ones and is delighted to get the pre-schoolers going on art-and-craft projects. The next date is 10 a.m., Nov. 8, 2nd Wed., but it’s not a babysitting service; an adult needs to stay with the young child(ren). Thanks!

Camaraderie at Art Start

However, the Kids Town now needs a boost. It’s a FREE program for school-age youngsters. Note that it’s scheduled for 4 p.m. on the 4th Thursday well AFTER school, perfect for those in regular school as well as home school. (That’s 4 p.m., 4th day, 4th week, easy to remember!) Please help us spread the word because The Kelly aims to promote education and has free art supplies as well as instruction for the students!

Don’t forget the “Kelly’s Kids” at the 1st Thursday Community Market. Outside, on Merchants Alley by the river, just down from The Kelly, the vendors group and The Kelly has a booth with a free project for kids.

Coming in the new year, watch for some classes. The Kelly is lining up some excellent teachers to instruct in different art mediums, for kids and for adults as well. More to come!
