Chatting over a charcuterie tray from our friends at Provisions, the Art Associates of The Kelly met in March to discuss some potential activities. It was generally agreed that they would enjoy having a loosely organized Studio Day once a month to get together to exchange ideas and create, i.e., paint or draw. Another idea was to have some evening talks by well-known local artists to discuss tips and techniques.
At the moment, we have just over 20 Art Associates, each allowed to bring 4 items to hang, which gives The Kelly nearly 100 works for sale on top of the exhibits, with 25% of any proceeds helping pay Kelly bills. They also are speeding up to put more items ON LINE. Go to https://thekelly.org/product-category/artwork/ to view almost 120 other beautiful works of all different types, and if you click on “Artists,” you’ll see a brief bio of each artist. You can order their works on line and pick up at the gallery. Prices vary from under $50 to over $500, and there are currently a few items on sale as well.
