Volunteer to Get WILD

If you love the outdoors, adore animals, enjoy hunting, or just like to help, we can still use a few more volunteers for November 5, an all-day (10-4pm) , all-downtown, Kelly-led Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival. This is not one you want to miss. Tens of thousands of dollars have been donated to make this an extra-special event, including a very very generous donation by the Smoot-Harris family.

Everywhere you turn, there will be activities: sporting dog demo, zoo animals, children’s activities. wood carving, cooking demo, artists painting outside, live music, food trucks, and arts/crafts vendors. The Kelly will have volunteers posted throughout and also in the gallery to help guide the visitors through the events.

Director Jennifer Eifert or her assistant Alyssa Spaulding are taking names of volunteers and getting everything organized with help from the Kelly Board–from a VIP reception to children’s activities to vendor hospitality. This is a major downtown event, and will carry on even if it rains because the vendors will be under two huge tents! (Contact The Kelly to find out if a vendor’s space is still available.)

This will truly be a key Alabama event and a real boost to Wetumpka’s reputation. We are lucky to have so many willing hands to pull this off. Thanks for your help. You might just get to wear this designer vest!
