Unveiling the Winner at TWK

Which winner? What contest? Every year for the past several years The Kelly has given a $1000 scholarship to a high school senior planning to study art in college. The scholarship fund has been set up separately from The Kelly’s operating fund as a way to honor the late Sylvia McConnell, a lifelong educator who helped found The Kelly.

The purpose to encourage and support budding artists in this region. Board member Lynda Fain handles the entries, which are then submitted to The Kelly Board for selection. She will be announcing the winner at this week’s Tuesday With Kelly, June 21st. Bring a sack lunch to The Kelly at noon for the brief meeting. As always, a beverage and dessert will be served. All are welcome. Come and congratulate the young winner.
