Description
This is part of my 1960s/1970s album cover series, which was inspired by my love of the music of this era, the connect between art and music, and the iconic faces on these covers, which begged to be painted. For this piece, I contacted Frank Stefanko, the photographer, for permission. Frank was a longtime photographer of Bruce Springsteen, capturing his larger-than-life presence on stage and behind the scenes with his band. With this painting, I’ve aimed to convey the moodiness of Bruce Springsteen that Frank brought to life on this cover.
