The Kelly was recently visited by a couple who hail from Wetumpka as they visited their old stomping grounds. Their lives have been filled with adventure, and we were happy that visiting The Kelly was one of their latest ventures. Turns out, Dr. Carole Singleton-Henkin is not only a native of Wetumpka, but she met Kelly Fitzpatrick as a little girl—and her family even commissioned a portrait of her from him!
We are truly honored that these wonderful people have decided to lend us a number of their Dixie Art Colony paintings on extended loan: five John Kelly Fitzpatrick paintings and six Warree Carmichael LeBron paintings! They are currently on display here at The Kelly, and they are amazingly beautiful works indeed.
