This week the Kelly Fitzpatrick Memorial Gallery proudly features “Crater Talk” on Saturday, May 7th from 10:00 to 11:00 am. This free informational talk will help you see and understand how the eighty five million year old Wetumpka Impact Crater was formed. We have only known the real story about our crater for about 24 years, but the impact changed the look and topography of Central Alabama long before man lived here. We will have maps for self-guided tours and information to answer your questions about the marine impact crater.
