Thank you for applying!

We thank all the artists that have applied to this year’s Competition! All applications have been juried and artists notified. If you are an artist, please let us know if you have not received your email notification.

These are artworks that highlight Alabamian native wildlife species.  All artworks will be juried and judged based on the following:

  • Accuracy of the chosen species. We are accepting a broad range of artistic styles and interpretations; however, artistic liberties must still allow for easy identification of the exact species selected.
  • Composition that highlights the animal. While the animal does not need to be centered or even a large portion of the artwork, we ask that the composition of the piece ultimately focus or bring focus to the chosen animal.
  • Artistic merit and quality. Artworks will be juried and judged based on design, skill, visual appeal, and quality of artistic expression.
