Classes and Such

Have you seen that Iain Stewart, the brilliant and internationally known watercolorist, will be teaching here at The Kelly? The workshop is presented by Watercolor Society of Alabama on March 30 – June 1st, 2024. All the details go through that group, but find contact information on https://thekelly.org/event/watercolor-workshop-with-iain-stewart/2024-05-30/

Soon after that is a free workshop for Kelly members by Alisa Beck, called “Creating Your Own Palette.” This is for any skill level. It’s 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 6. However, you have to register! Details here: https://thekelly.org/event/creating-your-signature-palette-class

Starting June 21, 10-12 a.m., AUM Professor Tony Vernonese will be teaching a series of several beginning drawing classes, using charcoal. Details? https://thekelly.org/event/beginner-drawing-class/2024-06-21/ You can sign up for one or all of the classes, as you desire. I dare you!

What about the “SUCH”? It’s not a class, but a “gathering”; Art Associates are invited to the studio workshop 11-3 on Monday, June 24, to draw, paint or create as desired. The Kelly is vibrant and always busy, learning, teaching and creating as well as displaying. We’re a Center for the Arts, not just a museum!!
