I fell in love with painting when I took my first art class in high school. I then went on to major in fine art and visual design at Auburn University. Although I have held a full-time job most of my life, I’ve always had an art business on the side. My favorite medium is watercolor. I specialized in equine art for many years and was fortunate to show my art at the Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, KY, through the American Academy of Equine Art. When you paint horses, you also get asked to paint dogs since most horse owners are also dog lovers. After taking a long break from painting, I’m now back into it. I live with my husband at Lake Martin, Alabama, where I have lots of beautiful subject matter to paint.
