DESCRIPTION:Values and edges are two of the most important fundamentals in improving your work. Join Amanda Lovett in an in-depth three day workshop working with oil paints to help you grow as an artist. In the beginning\, you will learn to judge and depict accurate values using a direct painting approach. You will then continue through demos and a one-on-one instruction as Amanda shares some of her  study habits that have had the most profound effect on her work. She will also be doing a segment on Paint Application and how to do those finishing touches that really give your painting that wow factor! So come ready to move your cart forward! \n\n$425 for three class sessions\nBasic supplies provided\nClass limit: Minimum of 8 and Maximum of 15\n\n<<Register Here>> \nInterested in Kelly member discounts on classes? Membership only starts at $50 a year! \n  \n \nAmanda Lovett’s artistic journey began with childhood sketches of her father’s horses\, signaling an early connection to creativity. Since then\, she has studied Art Direction\, Graphic Design\, Photography\, and illustration at the Atlanta portfolio center. After studying art\, she became an art director at the firm\, McDonald and Little\, at the age of 19\, gaining valuable experience in her field. Eventually\, she launched her own successful agency after the firm moved to New York. \nIn 1998\, Amanda’s focus shifted when she took a watercolor class with Frank Broadhurst\, which inspired her to pursue painting. By 2004\, she committed to painting professionally\, transitioning to oil paints to continue growing as an artist. Amanda studied under top professionals and gained a passion for teaching offering workshops across the southeast. \nHer work has been showcased in numerous national and regional exhibitions\, earning her Signature Status with Oil Painters of America and recognition as one of the “11 artists to collect now” by Plein Air magazine. Amanda’s art captures the vibrancy in life’s simple moments and is represented in galleries across the country. \nHer awards include but are not limited to: \n2024 Award of Excellence at Oil Painters of America “From the Vine” Eastern Regional Show \n2019 Best of Show at Georgia Color Plein Air \n2020 Best of Show at Paint Duluth 5 Plein Air Adventure \n2020 Award of Excellence at Oil Painters of America’s International Wet Paint Event \n
