She was known for painting with the greatest of ease and for encouraging her fellow and newcomer artists alike. She was an active member of many art organizations\, such as the Alabama Art League\, the Watercolor Society of Alabama\, the Southern States Art League\, the Birmingham Museum of Art\, and of course\, the Dixie Art Colony. \nCome join us for a retrospective exhibition honoring her artistic career with her paintings and handwritten letters that her son\, Angus Everton\, generously loaned to The Kelly.

The contest will be held at The Kelly Fitzpatrick Center for the Arts and will coincide with the Art Gone Wild exhibition running from September 16th through November 8th. The goal of the competition is to increase awareness and appreciation of Alabama’s wildlife as well as recognize outstanding artistic talent.
