DESCRIPTION:Applications to apply for the “Alabama Wildlife Fine Arts Competition” are due TODAY!\nThe Kelly\, in conjunction with the Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival\, is excited to announce year three of a juried fine art competition sponsored by The Alabama Wildlife Federation and LIV Development. The contest will be held at The Kelly Fitzpatrick Center for the Arts and will coincide with the Art Gone Wild exhibition running from September 16th through November 8th. The goal of the competition is to increase awareness and appreciation of Alabama’s wildlife as well as recognize outstanding artistic talent.

We invite submissions that reflect the Airforce’s new tagline; “Innovate\, Accelerate\, and Thrive”. We seek artworks that emphasize Air Force technologies (“innovate”)\, aircraft (“accelerate”)\, and servicemembers and their families (“thrive”). Artists are encouraged to create works that illustrate buildings and monuments\, vehicles and aircraft\, as well as depict the lives of airmen and their family activities associated with Maxwell AFB and Air Force units in Montgomery\, Alabama. \n

DESCRIPTION:At long last\, construction is done\, renovations are complete\, and everything has been moved to the new building! The Kelly Fitzpatrick Center for the Arts will hold the grand opening of our new location at: \n301 Hill Street\,\nWetumpka\, AL 36092\n Our doors will open at 10:00am\, and we will celebrate our grand opening with a ribbon cutting at 5:30pm\, immediately followed by a reception until 8:00pm. Everyone–volunteers\, staff\, the Board\, and our visual arts community–worked so hard to make this dream possible\, and we invite you to celebrate everyone’s successful efforts with us!  The reception will also be punctuated with its new art exhibition “Bridges and Rivers\,” a homage to its passionate riverside community.
